Position: Full Stack PHP Developer

We are looking for an experienced and talented full-stack PHP Developer to join our growing development team to work on existing client sites and new builds from scratch. The role is a full-time permanent position.
As we're a Magento agency, we're ideally looking for a developer with Magento experience but we'd love to hear from full-stack PHP developers that are willing and driven to learn the Magento platform.
You will be working with Magento 1 for many existing stores but for all new stores, these are built on Magento 2. You will work with internal teams including the support team, project managers, and designers to ensure projects are developed according to the brief/instructions.
We're looking for a full-stack developer so the role covers both front-end and back-end development, building themes and front-end layouts/interactions, custom modules, and back-end functionality and integrations.
Initially, whilst you're learning the Magento platform your time will be split between learning and working on various projects to get used to the platform. You will need to show a willingness to learn on the job as you go and demonstrate a high quality of work.
Skills Required
* Back-end development using PHP/MySQL.
* Development of APIs and third-party system integrations.
* Front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JS.
* Experience of PHP frameworks.
* Experience of server setups.
* Experience using GIT and deployment tools.
* Autonomy to research and learn on your own as well as within a team.
Responsibilities
* Managing tasks internally.
* Helping to define requirements and project briefs.
* Testing and quality control of your work.
* Accurately estimating time for milestones and tasks.
* Work with third-party agencies and developers.
* Suggest improvements to the development process and environments.
* Work within existing internal processes and develop new ones.
* Produce technical documentation for complex functionality.
* Helping with importing data where required.
* Helping with the Magento configuration and setup.
Requirements
* Experience developing Magento projects not essential.
* Good people skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
* Punctual and good time management.
* Understanding of project processes and timelines.
* Excellent organisation and planning skills.
* High attention to detail and thorough checking.
* Excellent communication skills to help explain complex and technical aspects simply.
* Ability to learn from others and teach other team members.
* Experience with WordPress an advantage.
Location
The role will be based in our main office in the UK at Lansdowne, Bournemouth. Travel may be required if visiting clients.
